Jerry Ordway did a phenomenal job capturing the likenesses of Michael Keaton's Batman, Jack Nicholson's Joker and the art-deco feel of Tim Burton's 1989 film in the official comic book adaptation. The cover art features Keaton's Dark Knight triumphantly standing atop the church that we see in the film's conclusion, with The Joker's ghostly visage fading through the errie skyline behind him - an image so grand that it could have easily served as the film's official poster.
