4. Captain America Socks It To Hitler

Captain America has been around since the Second World War, and thanks to his patriotic imagery and what was going on at the time, his debut issue was covered with an image of him slugging Hitler.

This image was so important to the history of Marvel Comics, it was recreated in the Captain's first solo film outing in the MCU, Captain America: The First Avenger, 70 years after this issue was first published.
