HMV has selected 12 of its stores across the UK & Ireland to act as 'districts' - on the Sunday - the day before (Sep 2). 'Citizens' who visit each participating store between 2 - 3pm and check into its hmv Foursquare account will be entered into a store 'reaping' - or a draw to select two 'tributes'. The 24 names that are chosen across the 12 stores, who each win a The Hunger Games goody bag, will go forward to a final 'live reaping' in Capitol City (HMV's flagship store in London's Oxford Street) for a chance to win a pair of tickets to next year's premiere of the second instalment in the Hunger Games trilogy - Catching Fire. The Oxford Street 'Capitol City' store will also hold a second concurrent 'live reaping' when all the attendees will be entered into a draw to win a second pair of tickets to next year's premiere. The final benefit for people taking part is that the first 100 customers in each district who check-in will be able to purchase a copy of The Hunger Games (HMV exclusive 3 disc double play steelbook) a full day ahead of the national release.
