6. Mary - There's Something About Mary
This one shouldn't really be a surprise, considering that the whole point of There's Something About Mary is that Mary is more or less the perfect specimen of womankind. She's smart, funny, loving, well settled in life, has a good job, can golf, you name it. In fact, her only real problem is that she's so fantastically amazing, all the men in her life are in love with her and desperate to win her heart. Mary is a worthwhile character because she isn't just "perfect" in the way that most guys are looking for. Yeah, she's beautiful and by all accounts super fun to be around, but she's a lot more than that. She's a caring individual who spends her time working with charities, and loves the hell out of her disabled brother. She is fiercely protective of him, and is totally willing to cut loose a man she has feelings for if they don't get along. I hear you critical people out there, who say that she's too perfect. To which I say, "Nay." Because that's right up there with complaining about having too many yachts or hair that just doesn't get split ends no matter what you do.
