10 Actors Who Stole Important Props From Movie Sets

4. Mark Wahlberg - A Prosthetic Penis

Spider-Man Andrew Garfield
New Line Cinema

Boogie Nights was the movie that introduced most people to Mark Wahlberg, and he's gone on to become one of the most recognisable faces in the movie business since.

The movie follows Wahlberg's Dirk Diggler as he navigates the ups and downs of the porn industry in 1970s California, so naturally, it contained a lot of graphic sexual content. The actor was required to wear a prosthetic penis for some scenes in the film, and strangely, he actually took this home from the set when the movie wrapped.

Wahlberg discussed the fake penis while chatting with Seth Meyers, mentioning that it went down past his knees, and that it was so flaccid that it just bounced around all the time. Poor Marky Mark. Fortunately, this penis was then revised to make it more manageable, and Wahlberg ended up keeping the newer version for himself.

Exactly what he does with it at home isn't clear, though it would probably make for a good weapon against burglars.

He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
