10 Actors Whose Credibility Suffered The Most In 2013

10. Ben Affleck

Listen: Ben Affleck isn't on the list because of anything he's done (not yet anyway), but because of what the world has already convinced themselves that he's going to do. Don't be coy - you know what I'm talking about. That's right. You can say it. Batman, right? Okay, so we've all heard enough about how Ben Affleck is next in line to play Batman and how that's either good or bad depending on your stance. We don't need to discuss that further. What I will say, though, is this: Ben Affleck spent the early part of the 2000s as something of a joke. "He's a bad actor," people would say. After a while, Ben got pretty annoyed that nobody would take him seriously, and he decided to start afresh. He became a director. Not just a director, though, a freakin' amazing one. Gone Baby Gone, The Town, Argo... three genuinely phenomenal movies, all in a row. And his acting was better, too. It seemed as though the impossible had come true. A real Hollywood turnaround. People actually liked Ben Affleck now - who'd have thought? And then the news dropped - he was going to be Batman - and all the work the man did in order to get back into our good books was just forgotten. All the credibility he spent the sum of a decade building up just... disappeared. Are you proud of yourselves? Are you? Yeah, that's what I thought.
