Parrish is an employee of a one-hour photo lab, and becomes obsessed with a friendly middle-class family whose photos he regularly develops, wishing for a life not unlike their own. Things soon take a turn for the deranged when Parrish's alienation and loneliness cause him to act out in terrifying ways.
