10 Avengers 4 Facts We Know Already

We're in the endgame now.

The dust from Avengers: Infinity War is finally beginning to settle and it's hardly surprising it took this long, considering that's what half of the cast turned into when Thanos pulled his finger-snapping trick during the final battle.

Infinity War will be a tough act to follow and the movie given that unenviable task is Avengers 4, a project that's shrouded in mystery to the extent that Marvel Studios and directorial duo the Russo Brothers have so far refused to reveal its title.

Educated guesswork, set leaks and the more convincing fan theories point to Avengers 4 being a time travel movie but concrete information about the sequel is up in the air, much like the powdery remains of Spider-Man, Black Panther et al.

Amid all of the rumours and conjecture, though, a handful of solid facts about Cap, Iron Man and the rest of the gang's next outing have trickled through.

10. The Battle Of New York Will Be Revisited

One of the most compelling pieces of evidence supporting the theory that Avengers 4 will be a time-hopping adventure comes from a batch of set leaks that have been doing the rounds online for a while now. The images in question were originally posted over on Just Jared but have since been shared far and wide.

They show the heroes revisiting a fan-favourite scene from the original Avengers: The Battle of New York. Captain America is rocking his classic costume but the photos also give us reason to believe this is no mere flashback sequence.

For starters, Ant-Man can be spotted in some of them, and he obviously wasn't around in Phase One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Other leaked images have revealed Thor is his classic duds and Loki alive and well, featuring in a scene that appears to be a rehash of the one where he was escorted back to Asgard in The Avengers.

While these set leaks are open to interpretation, there's one thing we can glean from them that cannot be disputed: Avengers 4 will revisit scenes from the previous movies.
