The Charge: On your left!
The final battle between The Avengers and Thanos is the ultimate climax to the biggest movie franchise in history. The whole of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a total of 22 movies over 11 years has built to this single moment, when all of the Marvel’s superheroes are joined together to showdown against Thanos, the baddest dude in the galaxy.
This is the most modern entry on this list, but it’s construction is as classic as it comes. Captain America is locked in battle against Thanos, and even with the legendary Mjölnir in his grasp, he is losing. Thanos brings down his mighty double-bladed sword and destroys Captain America’s vibranium shield. It is then, that Thanos mighty horde arrives.
It is our heroes dark hour and all seems lost. That is until multiple portals begin to open, and all of Earth’s mightiest heroes come to the rescue. It follows the same structure as Stagecoach, and the result is just as riveting. The united heroes charge towards Thanos and the epic final battle ensues in all its glory.
This culmination of over a decade of storytelling reaches its peak at this moment, and it will be ingrained in our popular culture forever.
