Comic book movies always tend to have a lot going on in them. That notion applies to pretty much every movie in the genre, going back as far as we can remember, but it applies even more so in today's movies. The reason for that is simple: Expansion. Comic book movies always have future movies in mind when they're being made and, instead of just focusing on themselves, they also tend to focus on what could potentially happen by dipping in to sub-plots and stories that may or may not end up being resolved. Most of the time, however, there's so much going on that the vast majority of these sub-plots don't actually end up being resolved at all - they simply end up being forgotten, leaving us hanging, leaving us wondering what may happen in the future or - in the cases of dead franchises - leaving us wondering what might have been. In this article, we're going to take a look at some of those things that still aren't resolved - whether they're from old franchises that mean we'll never see them resolved, or from ongoing franchises that still could resolve them in upcoming movies.
