Walt Disney Productions began producing their first feature-length animated film in 1934. Over 80 years later they are regarded as one of the most strongest, most powerful brands in the world.

But Disney aren't the only contenders when it comes to animation. DreamWorks Animation have the greatest success when it comes to the box office, grossing over a whopping $14 billion across 36 films. Pixar aren't far behind with $13 billion. But which studio has managed to produce the highest grossing film of all time and just how much have they managed to rake in?

Has your favourite animated movie managed to make its way to the top or has it not quite made the cut?

With Toy Story 4 due to be released next June and Frozen 2 at the end of 2019, some of the movies included in this list might get bumped off the list.

All numbers are based on worldwide box office and are correct (according to Box Office Mojo) at the time of production.
