1. Kee's Baby - Children of Men
Alfonso Cuaron's Children of Men is a technical marvel in every sense, and so perhaps it shouldn't be a surprise that he snuck such a fantastic work of CGI past us during a climactic scene in which the answer to Earth's extinction problem, Kee, gives birth to hope in actual human form. Would you know, however, that the baby entering the world is in fact a CGI creation rather than a clever blend of doll and actual human? The entire thing, from when it emerges limp to when it begins moving, is digital, and startlingly lifelike in this stead. Granted, poor lighting helps the scene be convincing, but still, every single tic and movement of the baby is exactly as a real baby would perform it; this is a CGI scene that is staggering in its ambition and utterly flawless in execution. Which CGI scenes did you think were real? Let us know in the comments below.
