The Plot Hole:

When the clock strikes midnight and the Fairy Godmother's magic ends, why don't Cindrella's glass slippers vanish along with everything else which reverts to its prior form - such as, most famously, the carriage turning back into a pumpkin?

The Solution:

Fans have conjured up a few persuasive answers to this issue.

For one, unlike everything else the Fairy Godmother rustled up, the glass slippers weren't transformed from an existing object, and having materialised out of thin air as they did, there's ultimately nothing for them to turn back to, so glass slippers they remained.

The other salient point suggested by some fans is that the slippers were actually a gift from the Fairy Godmother separate from her time-limited magic, and so weren't bound by the same rules.

Both of these answers are tidy enough explanations, honestly, if you're somehow not content with just shouting "magic nonsense!" and being done with it.
