Don't Breathe follows three young lawbreakers who have received a tip off about a local man being in possession of $300,000. The group decide to break into the house and soon realise the man they are stealing from is a blinded veteran named Norman Nordstrom.
They are surprised when the man displays he is more than capable of defending himself as he begins to murder the intruders. Protagonist Rocky, makes a horrifying discovery when she enters the basement of the house and finds a young woman tied and bound who Nordstrom was planning to artificially impregnate to carry his child.
In the end Rocky escapes as the only survivor believing Nordstrom to be dead. However the film ends on a dark note as Rocky sees Nordstrom in a news report explaining how he is recovering in hospital after killing two intruders who attacked the helpless blind veteran. It is clear that somehow Nordstrom covered up his sickening secrets in the basement and avoided being brought to justice.
