10 Most Paused Star Wars Moments

2. The Gold Bikini - Return Of The Jedi

Princess Leia Bikini

Is it a tad sleazy to include this scene here? Sure, but the reality is that a whole host of young (and old) Star Wars fans hit the pause button as soon as they saw Carrie Fisher's Princess Leia decked out in a gold bikini during Return of the Jedi's opening act.

In fact, for a generation who grew up on static-laced VHS tapes, the image of Leia in this famous attire could well be one of the most paused moments in movie history.

Having been imprisoned by Jabba the Hutt after her plan to free Han Solo went array, Leia became one of Jabba's slaves. Ever the creep, Jabba was swift to deck his latest possession out in a gold bikini, with her then positioned at his side while he continued to be a thorough bastard to anyone who stepped foot inside Jabba's Palace.

Of course, Leia would get the sweetest sort of revenge on Jabba - that being her choking the slug-like prick to death with the very chain with which he'd held her hostage as Return of the Jedi's Sarlacc Pit battle played out.
