9. Neo & Trinity's Sex Scene - The Matrix Reloaded
The Matrix Reloaded may be an almost impossibly action-packed sequel, but it also slows things down in the first act to show the Zion resistance partying their hearts out between missions.
The infamous Zion rave sequence not only shows the resistance revelling, but subjects audiences to an impressively un-sexy sex scene between Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) which adds nothing to the movie whatsoever.
It isn't a sex scene that informs the characters in any way, nor is it even basically titillating to watch.
It's awkwardly staged, Reeves and Moss look embarrassed to be acting it out, and sandwiching it between a montage of semi-nude Zion partiers having the time of their lives only makes it that much more laughable.
The rave itself is fine enough, giving us a wider glimpse at the unplugged humans letting off some steam as they prepare for the war of their lives, but absolutely nothing is gained from seeing our central lovers getting down to business.
