10 Movies You Should Watch (Even Though They Suck)

1. The Fanatic

Brought to you by Fred Durst (yes, Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst), The Fanatic tells the story of a hardcore movie fan called Moose (John Travolta) who's obsessed with action star, Hunter Dunbar (Devon Sawa). After Hunter repeatedly dismisses Moose, the once harmless fan starts to crack, causing him to develop murderous intent.

John Travolta may be no stranger to box-office bombs, but The Fanatic has got to be the nadir of his career. Durst's film is drenched in every cliche you could fathom - contrived narration, a ham-fisted message on celebrity fanaticism, and woeful dialogue. Not only was The Fanatic unanimously called 2019's worst movie, it's Travolta's least successful film, earning a pitiful $3,153 at the box office.

However, The Fanatic should be watched, purely for its lead star.

Is Travolta any good? Nope. He's terrible. By comparison, his performance in Battlefield Earth seems Oscar-worthy. However, you can't deny that Travolta is utterly committed to the role.

Travolta's overacting single-handedly transforms this forgettable thriller into a treasure trove of comedy gold. Whether you love or hate John Travolta, you'll get a kick our of his performance. Whether you think his acting is a god-awful or a work of art, it's impossible not to find it boundlessly entertaining.
