10 Reasons Why Hellboy II: The Golden Army Is Still ICONIC

7. Seth MacFarlane At His Career-best As Krauss

Seth MacFarlane became a household name because of his various crass animated creations for Fox but that is far from the only thing the man is. He's also got an incredibly versatile voice, which has led to him receiving acclaim as both a jazz singer and a voice actor.

He puts his talents to great use as the new government-issued team leader, Krauss. Krauss is an exceedingly interesting character, one whose moral values directly challenge Hellboy's own and one who's power-set is unlike anything ever really put to film in a comic book movie before. As an ectoplasmic being who mostly resides within his own make-shift suit, the possibilities for creative uses of his powers are pretty much limitless and del Toro certainly doesn't disappoint there, making the character a visual treat for audiences.

But it is MacFarlane's startlingly great performance that really sells the character. For a role that requires him to don a bit of a hammy German accent, MacFarlane continuously plays it far more reserved than his reputation would suggest. The result is a powerful performance that made Krauss a fan-favorite and MacFarlane's best acting work to-date.
