10 Things That Could Save Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

1. Ben Affleck Could Be The Best Batman Yet

Even if every other potential obstacle mentioned on this list is overcome, there is one more key issue that Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will ultimately have to face in order to succeed and that is the casting of Batman himself. When Ben Affleck was originally announced in the title role, the reaction swiftly changed from shock to horror for the majority of fans, to the point where many even actively petitioned Warner Bros. online to change their minds and cast someone else. Face it though guys. You can blow off all the steam you want, but there is no way in hell that the studio will listen, so instead, let's take a closer look at this unusual casting decision. The man who played Daredevil in one of the weakest movies ever based on a Marvel character may seem like a bizarre choice at first, but Ben Affleck is no stranger to surprising audiences. After kicking off his career with huge success in the late 1990's, subsequent years saw a decline in the stars popularity, culminating in the travesty that was Gigli, which Affleck starred in alongside his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez. After a number of sub-par film choices, Affleck moved behind the camera and surprisingly made a number of successful movies, eventually winning the Academy Award's Best Picture trophy for Argo in the role of producer. Despite the highs and lows of his career, Affleck has proved himself as a capable actor time and time again in films such as Good Will Hunting, Hollywoodland and The Town and with the huge pressure of this role on his shoulders, Affleck will undoubtedly attempt to put his own spin on Batman rather than imitate previous performances. Those who maintain that Affleck will fail in the role may well be right, but it's impossible for anyone other than the film makers to know how well the actor will actually do until Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is finally released in cinemas on March 25th, 2016. There's no way Affleck can do any worse than Val Kilmer or George Clooney, right? And you never know. He may just end up being better than either Michael Keaton or Christian Bale, providing audiences with the definitive version of Batman at last. Will these 10 things save Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice or is the movie destined to fail? And will you line up to see the movie for yourself regardless? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
