6. Uwe Boll
Known For: His terrible slew of video game adaptations, such as House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark, Bloodrayne, Dungeon Siege, Far Cry and, unquestionably the best of the bunch, Postal.
The Last 10 Years: In fairness, Boll has only been a known filmmaker to most for around a decade, so he never really had a chance. He's churned out the terrible aforementioned video game movies, though has in recent years moved on to a host of generic action flicks and thrillers, usually rushing out at least 2 or 3 per year. One thing's for certain when you sit down to watch an Uwe Boll film: you know what you're getting, and he rarely surprises us.
The Exception: Boll's 2009 film Rampage actually wasn't that bad. It was still shlock, but it was well-acted and the carnage was surprisingly well shot. It's hardly an indication Boll's interested in working on worthier projects, though.
What We'd Love To See: Boll be handed a half-way decent thriller script. Rampage proved he actually can direct his way out of a paper bag, and with a script that isn't completely idiotic, he could probably direct a relatively solid three-star movie.
