10 Worst Things The Joker Has Ever Done On-Screen
9. Poisoning Gotham's Make-Up Supplies - Batman
"Love that Joker."
Perhaps the funniest villain in superhero cinema history, Jack Nicholson's Joker starts his war on Gotham with an attack on cosmetics. After putting out an ad revealing he has rigged make-up to kill the wearer, we cut to news anchors who have clearly not been done up for TV. It's all darkly hilarious yet still an act of diabolical evil from the former Jack Napier.
Ever the chemistry wiz, Joker's chemical concoction is aptly named Smylex and the beginnings of him using his trademark laughing gas in the film (not a single big screen Joker has used this deadly weapon since).
Subjecting Gotham to fear and anxiety as only he can, Joker's crime here leaves one wondering what else he could tamper with. Gotham's food supplies? Its water? He's got that mystical ability to gain access to any part of the city after all.
With laughing corpses piling up, make-up companies everywhere no doubt saw a massive dive in business leading to lost fortunes, redundancies and all manner of set backs. Joker's crimes are more far reaching than one might first notice, making them more unforgivable than ever.
