Tom Lenk's long-running association with Joss Whedon started in Buffy season five episode Real Me, in which he played one of Harmony's vampire minions. The following season he returned to the show to play Andrew, one of a trio of geeks who thought they were supervillains. The character surprisingly grew in popularity, becoming a series regular in the show's final year. Andrew later crossed over a couple of times on spin-off Angel's fifth season. In more recent years, Lenk reappeared in Whedon's world in The Cabin In The Woods as Ronald the Intern. A bigger role came when he played Verges, the comedy sidekick to Nathan Fillion's Dogberry, in Much Ado.
