12 Awkward Moments That Must Have Happened After Avengers: Endgame
7. Loki Trolls The Space-Time Continuum
Though the original timeline Loki (Tom Hiddleston) stays dead after being murdered by Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Infinity War, the character gets a sorta-resurrection when the Avengers travel back to 2012.
After the Tesseract is fumbled during the time heist, this version of Loki quickly takes possession of it and exits through a portal to parts unknown.
The obvious implication is that, in this new timeline, Loki's fate will be markedly different, and doesn't necessarily have to conclude with him being throttled by the Mad Titan.
But above all else, it's likely that the upcoming Loki-starring Disney+ series will follow this alternate version of the trickster god, and if early reports are correct, the show will depict him "[popping] up throughout human history as an unlikely influencer on historical events."
That honestly sounds hilarious, and while absolutely within the cheeky spirit of Loki's character, is sure to cause some "interesting" deviations from the "Earth 616" universe that the mainline MCU takes place in.
