The Scene: When supersoldier gone awry David (Dan Stevens) goes on a killing spree and attempts to kill pretty much anyone he's come in contact with, he ends up stabbed with his own butterfly knife by Luke (Brendan Meyer), apparently dying as the school begins to burn down. However, as Anna (Maika Monroe) gets treatment by an ambulance outside, she notices a fireman emerge from the burning school with a familiar looking walk (as David was stabbed in the leg), and as he turns to look at Anna, all she can say is, "What the f***!?" Roll the credits. Why It's So WTF: For starters, it's a literal WTF, given the hilarious final line, but it also immediately asks the audience to consider: what exactly has this government experiment done to David if he can survive a stab wound straight in the chest? And how can he actually be killed? And where is he going now? It's a brilliant way to avoid a cliched ending in which David is defeated, and keeps the story spilling beyond the bounds of the movie.
