9. An Even Dumber Twist Ending Than The First Film - Now You See Me 2
At the end of the movie, Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo) and the other Horsemen are taken to an observatory, where it's revealed that the villainous Thaddeus Bradley (Morgan Freeman) was actually a high-up member of The Eye the whole time, and his rivalry with Rhodes' father was merely an act.
Why It's Dumb: The original Now You See Me was a rock solid action adventure flick until it completely blew its wad in the final 10 minutes with the laughably poor reveal of Rhodes being behind everything.
Most probably expected that the overwhelmingly negative response to the twist meant that the filmmakers wouldn't dare repeat it for NYSM2, and yet they turned in a reveal even more outrageously improbable.
It's basically just a rehash of the first movie's twist and is as a result ludicrously unsatisfying. Can they find a way to to concoct and even more inane reveal for the inevitable sequel? Time will tell!
