14. The Direction
None of the above would really be possible without Edgar Wright; one of the most inventive, enthusiastic and energetic directors around he really brings it and then some with this movie. His timing, energetic direction and dynamism really makes for a film that blitzs by in a flurry of humour and action and doesnt feel short because of it. He manages to coax the best out of his actors whilst also using impeccable comedic timing with his cuts and script to amplify the brilliance of this film. His own style really exemplifies what this film is; hilarious, energetic, creative and something that is, beyond anything else, very fun. Which is why this is my favourite British film of all time.
