In one respect, Martin is your typical daydreaming 17 year-old, fantasizing about a life very different from the one hes living. Unfortunately, he believes himself to be a vampire, so in his dreams he wears a cloak and plastic fangs and chases down movie starlets. In real life, plastic fangs dont work, so he resorts to razor blades instead, opening the wrists of his drugged victims before slaking his thirst. When we first meet him, hes stalking a woman on a train before rendering her unconscious and drinking her blood. Then he disembarks and returns to his life in gloomy Pittsburgh. This isnt enough for Martin, so he also calls a late-night radio show to talk about his crimes, which has the added bonus of making him a celebrity. But his newfound stardom has a price, and it isnt long before he finds himself in his dreams and in real life being hounded by a maniacal vampire hunter.
