20 Recent Movie Cameos NOBODY Saw Coming

A Minecraft Movie actually ends up saving its very funniest gag for a mid-credits scene, where it's revealed that after Marlene (Jennifer Coolidge) hit the villager Nitwit with her car and took him for dinner, they're now romantically involved.

Marlene's incensed ex-husband shows up and is in absolute disbelief at who Marlene is shacking up with, at which point Nitwit interrupts and start speaking English for the first time, where he's hilariously voiced by none other than Matt Berry.

Considering how articulate and distinctive Berry's speaking voice is, it's a gut-bustingly unexpected cameo, albeit one that's actually a nod to the fact that Berry was originally cast in the role of protagonist Steve, but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts, after which it went to Jack Black.

While Berry probably would've been able to play a decent Steve, the sheer shock value rug-pull of him voicing Nitwit of all people made the recast so, so worth it.
