20 Sneaky End Credits Messages You Probably Missed

1. Mongrels

What better way to end this list than with the hidden message that pretty much sums up the entire endeavour of this article with pithy snark? The BBC series Mongrels was one of the break-out hits of secondary channel BBC 3 (a rare win in a traditionally not-bountiful-at-all ocean of mediocrity and insincere canned laughter) with bawdy humour that frequently crossed the line into downright inappropriateness. It was great fun, in short, and it was made all the better by the fact that it was a puppet show.

And following the show's occasionally nihilistic comic stance, the credits included the screen above, which postured wonderfully on the futility of actually having any credits any more. Obviously, they hadn't realised the huge potential for captive audiences presented by following sneaky Marvel and DC technique of tacking on mostly unnecessary additional scenes to make sure noone goes home until after the 12 minute credit sequence has sucked all excitement out of them.
