5 Greatest Foreign Fight Scenes. Ever.

1. Ip Man

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqctjMF0Mvo Little Donnie Yen. When this movie starts out, he is grinning like an idiot while fighting. And that's because he is so damn nice. But, after the Japanese occupy his China homeland, Donnie watches his considerable wealth wilt until he is mining for potatoes at the hands of the enemy. Some of the Kung-Fu masters (which Donnie Yen is) agree to fight in sparring competitions for Japanese amusement. They get an extra bag of rice which might as well be a bag of gold and puppies for how bad the Japanese are treating them. Anyway, Donnie goes looking for one of his students and gets pissed after seeing someone get shot after losing. Pissed like my girlfriend does when I play Halo for 15 hours. Times 10. Donnie gets so mad that he challenges the General (guy staging the fight) to send out 10 guys. Blackbelts. And, to this point, Donnie has been gentle when he fights. He doesn't connect harder than he has to and is quick to acknowledge a good fight. Well, that goes right out the window when Donnie gets mad. Suffice to say, the only part that got hurt on our hero is his fists from pounding faces. Seriously, he literally pounds a face. He also plays a Neil Peart solo on a guys rib cage. After Donnie wins, I sat there slack jawed for a few minutes. This fight scene is so good, I couldn't even high five anyone the first time I watched it. There you have it. My top 5 foreign movie fight scenes. Honorable mentions go to Brotherhood of the Wolf, District 13, and Raid: Redemption.

Some guys wish they had height. Others lament that they do not have beautiful blue eyes. Still others yearn for a man-status beard. I have all 3. I love movies, video games, sports, and books. I'm an athletic nerd. I hope everyone enjoys my articles and realizes that they are written by a fan; not a snooty know-it-all.
