For those who dont know, at one point, Dazzler was a pretty big deal. Back in the 80s, Marvel was grooming the character to be its next hit property. With the ability to convert sound waves into intense beams of light, she was the perfect answer to the disco/new-wave craze that had taken over the minds of the youth. As it turned out, the character wound up fading away just as quickly as those trends did, and Dazzler was soon relegated to the bargain bin. At one point, however, there was actually talk of making a Dazzler movie with Bo Derek attached to star. Unfortunately, Dereks insistence that her husband direct the project prevented the movie from ever happening. Perhaps this was for the best. Remember, disco and quality rarely ever mix.
