After successfully course-correcting the Halloween franchise with 2018's reboot to the '78 original, co-writer-director David Gordon Green is back for the second of a planned trilogy of new Halloween films.

Halloween Kills has actually been in the can for a long time, with principal photography completed back in November 2019, but for obvious reasons Universal opted to push it back an entire year to Halloween 2021.

Little is known about the plot beyond Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) staging another, totally final stand against Michael Myers, while franchise alum Kyle Richards will reprise the role of Lindsey Wallace from the first two movies, and Anthony Michael Hall will play a grown-up Tommy Doyle.

With the third film, Halloween Ends, set to start shooting imminently, it's safe to say that Kills will likely leave plenty up in the air for fans to chew on.

Release Date: October 15
