6 Things New To Netflix This Week (Nov 23)

4. Some Kind Of Wonderful

If you're craving those warm Breakfast Club feels then Some Kind of Wonderful can help. It stars Eric Stoltz and Lea Thompson, who were originally supposed to appear together in Back to the Future (before Stoltz was re-cast) and Mary Stuart Masterson as his character's best friend who harbours a secret love. Screenwriting legend John Hughes wrote the script which comes packaged with all the hallmarks you'd expect from one of his 80s films, including a killer soundtrack featuring Furniture, Propaganda, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Pete Shelly from Buzzcocks and Stephen Duffy from Kraftwerk. Watch closely for a cameo from a 20 year-old Pamela Anderson as a party guest. Where's that pause button? You never really hear much about this forgotten 80s love triangle but it's brilliant. Some Kind of Wonderful will appear on Netflix from November 25th.
