Whatever workout regime Jason went on after the first Friday the 13th movie, I want in on it. Jason’s transformation from drowning little kid to serial killing psychopath flipped everything we knew about the character on its head.
Not only coming back for the sequel physically transformed, Jason’s role as the franchise’s primary antagonist was established in Friday the 13th: Part 2.
The script writer from the first Friday the 13th movie Victor Miller was famously unhappy about the filmmakers' decision to make Jason Voorhees the killer in the sequels, stating: "Jason was dead from the very beginning. He was a victim, not a villain.’’ Still, look at that transformation.
Part 2 gave us the crazed, machete-wielding killing machine we know and love, with Part 3 cementing his icon hockey mask appearance. Bigger is almost always better, and big Jason is a monumental improvement over the original.
