8. The One Ring - The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy
One ring to rule them all. Is there more that must be said? Armies will rise and fall for it. Kings and sorcerers will sacrifice everything to obtain or destroy it. The traitors and the most trustworthy will clash in riddles and wits to place the precious ring back into their hands, for whatever purpose they see fit with it. The One Ring is a great example of a movie item for it appears a simple ring, but every species can and will break physically, emotionally, and mentally, just to either steal it or break it. The item has the power to single-handedly turn a land upside-down and show the inner-darkest thoughts of a being. It is creepy and ominous for it feels harmless but acts almost sentient in how it can manipulate and warp any mind, no matter how strong. Everything in the story of LOTR, as the title suggests, revolves around the creation of this one ring, granting it one of the most powerful presences on screen.
