8 Planned Remakes That Shouldn't Happen

4. The Warriors

the warriors This is a remake that has been in the works for almost a decade. Director Tony Scott was on board to make this film, often commenting on its eventuality before his untimely passing. One would believe that the project would have now reached a dead end. Unfortunately, there is still buzz on the internet that this movie is still going to happen. The Warriors is about the titular gang, falsely accused of murdering the leader of the biggest gang in NYC. Somehow they have to go from the Bronx to Coney Island, through various rival gang territories to get home. Sounds pretty simple, right? But it€™s not so easy when you have to contend with gangs like the Baseball Furies or the Lizzies. And all of this is done with a color palette that feels like a seventies Marvel comic brought to life. The proposal behind this planned remake is to drop all of the exaggerated and stylish gangs that fill the screen in favor of ones that seem more realistic and edgier. Which is the exact opposite of the appeal of The Warriors. This is an adventure film at heart and while it has a very larger than life aesthetic, it still manages to feel dark and gritty. The Warriors don€™t just €œbop€ their way through New York City, its almost as if they€™ve journeyed through another world that somewhat resembles the real one.

Just like Patrick Swayze in Roadhouse, Mickey Galie is the best friend a good time ever had.
