8 Shocking Differences Between Leaked Deadpool Screenplay And Movie

More Easter Eggs, new villains, and a very inappropriate after-credits scene.

Right about now, the studio execs at 20th Century Fox who spent years refusing to make Deadpool must be feeling mighty stupid. With overwhelmingly positive reviews and box office analysts predicting a North American debut of over $90 million, Deadpool is officially a hit, and a sequel is already in development. However, to get that initial green light a couple of years ago, test footage from the movie had to be leaked online. What didn't exactly help the movie's cause is the screenplay which surfaced back in 2010. Written by Zombieland's Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, it made for an enjoyable enough read, but it was also easy to see why those unfamiliar with the character would initially be reluctant to spend tens of millions of dollars on making it a reality. However, the potential was there for something great, but some major changes were needed. As the years passed, those were made, yet it still took the response to that footage to force Fox's hand! Regardless, now that we've seen Deadpool, just how different was the movie to that original screenplay? While a good 70% remains the same, there are still a lot of shocking differences. Some would have made the movie much better and others considerably worse, but they're all equally interesting and unexpected...
