Following the success of their first two waves of movies, it's hardly surprising that Marvel's Phase 3 is so highly anticipated. Kevin Feige and company have taken the superhero genre and forever transformed it, leaving studios like 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. frantically scrambling to catch up and find similar levels of success. For now though, Marvel remains on top and have big plans for the next few years (which, like it or not, are pretty much guaranteed to overshadow the Distinguished Competition). What makes Phase 3 so exciting? Take your pick: between planned debuts for new heroes like Black Panther and Captain Marvel, there's also the fact that Spider-Man is finally going to join this world, not to mention adaptations of beloved comic book events like Civil War, Ragnarok, and Infinity War. In other words, there's a hell of a lot to look forward to. Unfortunately, much of what some are excited to see simply isn't going to happen. Through a mixture of rumours and general fan speculation which has taken on a life of its own, there's a lot of buzz surrounding certain character debuts, storylines, and casting additions which in reality have no chance of coming to pass. That has't stopped many from believing they will of course, but there's solid proof pointing to this not being the case, and hell, there's even one Phase 3 movie which is unlikely to get made!
