After a decade of waiting and eleven films worth of world building, the mad titan Thanos has finally risen from his seat to tear the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe down. But while the clock is ticking ever closer towards Armageddon for the Avengers, there are actually still six Marvel films that need to be released before Thanos will even begin his assault on the Universe. The current outlook appears to be bleak for Earth's mightiest heroes as there are only a few people currently residing in the cinematic roster who could even dare to go toe to toe with Thanos before he gets his intergalactic bling. There are monsters, Gods and robo-Gods, but there's still little hope. But that could change over the next few years with cosmic level characters like Doctor Strange appearing, or whatever the Guardians of the Galaxy might be able to pull out in the sequel. And the good news is that throughout comic book history there have been times when characters have emerged to take down Thanos, and that could shape the end of Phase 3... Inevitably some spoiler discussion follows.
