8. It's Very Funny

Since Thor: Ragnarok was supposed to be a world-changing movie event that ended up destroying Asgard, killing the Warriors Three and Odin and putting Thor in more mortal peril than ever before, it was somewhat surprising that Taika Waititi went with a pure comedic tone. But that's something we should always expect from MCU movies, on reflection, and Infinity War will be the same.

Almost every reaction to the film has mentioned how funny the footage screened was - particularly in the New York-set sequence that will presumably see Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Wong and Bruce Banner unite.

It's bound to be divisive, since the idea of an apocalyptic event movie being funny will annoy more cynical fans, but it's part of the Marvel cinematic brand and it should be counted as a good thing that the Russos have milked every opportunity for humour.
