In what might be the strangest casting I've ever heard,
Production Weekly are reporting that actor
Sacha Baron Cohen is in talks to star alongside
Johnny Depp in
Tim Burton's dark musical
Sweeney Todd. Cohen is of course famous for his outrageous characters
Ali G and most recently
Borat who have now both had their own feature length movie. Cohen is in talks for the role of barber Signor Adolfo Pirelli, a competitor of Depp's Sweeney Todd. Production is set to begin in February at Burton's favourite Pinewood Stuidos with a release date set for around Christmas 2007. source -
