Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer Breakdown: EVERY Hidden Detail

Marvel Studios damn-near broke the Internet with the first teaser trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine back in February, and they've gone and done it again with the new full trailer. Hoo boy, it's a doozy alright.

If the teaser provided just the smallest taste of the wild interplay between the two title characters, this "proper" trailer lets loose with the ribald banter, gory action, meta nods to the wider MCU, and assortment of nutty Easter eggs.

Like any piece of Deadpool media, it's visually dense with things to look out for in basically every single frame, and so in that stead, let's hit rewind and break the whole thing down.

While there's no doubt that the final movie will be awash with dozens if not hundreds of references, cameos, and what have you, the trailer alone gives plenty away for free.

With the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the midst of a decline in general audience interest, it sure looks like the third Deadpool movie is gonna go full-tilt with the outrageously comic book-y mayhem and, yes, all that sweet, sweet fanservice.

The July 26th release can't come soon enough, but until then, let's re-examine that trailer in exhaustive detail...

The trailer kicks off with Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) tracking Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) down to a Canadian bar where he's being refused service. 

Wade's first words of greeting to him? Not a hilariously perverse quip but a sarcastically affectionate, "Hi, peanut."

MCU fans might recall that this is the term of endearment typically used by Ant-Man himself, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), when speaking to his beloved daughter Cassie (Kathryn Newton).

Deadpool, evidently something of an MCU watcher himself, decided to co-opt it when he caught up to Wolverine, before demanding that the thoroughly uninterested superhero come with him.

Needless to say, this isn't the last Ant-Man reference we'll be discussing in the trailer. Moving on...
