Death On The Nile Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

5. Poirot Steals The Show (Again)

Kenneth Branagh's campy rendition of Poirot was easily the best thing about Murder on the Orient Express and too it's the definitive highlight this time around.

Branagh is totally dialled into the character and knows how to make him both amusingly witty and attention-grabbingly severe as the material requires.

As mentioned above, there's more of an attempt to develop Poirit as a person beyond being a mere monolith this time around, and for the most part it pays off.

It's clear that Branagh is having a total blast reprising the role, and so we can only hope he'll get at least one more opportunity to don the oversized lip-foliage for our sure amusement.
