It's official,
Tim Burton's next movie will be an adaptation of the dark musical
Sweeney Todd for
DreamWorks Studios.
Johnny Depp has been cast in the lead role, which will mark the 6th time the pair have worked together in their careers. Some info from

"Official word from the studio Wednesday confirmed Johnny Depp's involvement along with additional details on the movie version of the award-winning Stephen Sondheim musical thriller about a murderous barber wrongfully imprisoned who later seeks revenge on the judge who sent him up the river". Shooting will start on the movie in February at Pinewood Studios and is tentatively set to be released in the fall next year. I'm so exicted about this project. I've been begging my girlfriend to take me to see Sweeney Todd after seeing a brief scene of the musical in
Kevin Smith'sJersey Girl. With Tim Burton helming, Johnny Depp staring and inevitably
