Deschanel also says 'Yes' to comedy flick

Actress joins the Jim Carrey comedy whose main character says YES to everything.

Yes Man. The plot sounds dire and despite me liking director Peyton Reed's last movie The Break-Up, I just think Carrey is a lost cause in the comedy genre these days. He should have moved on from this years ago. The Hollywood Reporter say that Zooey Deschanel has been cast in the lead female role, as woman Carrey will meet on his journeys. The film is based on the Danny Wallace memoir of the same name, where a guy decides to change his whole life by saying Yes to everything, no matter what the question. Deschanel has just completed her role in The Happening and is the third person cast in Yes Man, after Bradley Cooper who was cast a few weeks back as Carrey's best friend. I like Deschanel quite a bit and her charm is perfect for the comedy film. Wonder how Carrey will play this one... over the top or grounded in reality?
