Djimon Hounsou to star in his "dream, comic book trilogy"

IESB have heard from the uber talend Gladiator and Blood Diamond actor Djimon Hounsou today that he will be "he'll be starring in his dream project soon -- a comic book trilogy". Interesting. Very interesting. But what could it be? IESB speculate that it could be the Marvel character of Black Panther. Their reasoning being that Fantastic Four director Tim Story last year claimed that Hounsou would be his "ideal choice" for the popular black superhero if he was ever to use him in the FF universe. I really think that's great casting but is Hounsou's dream project actually to be a side character in that franchise?

I can't really claim to be all that knowledgeable on Black Panther but I do love the idea of the physically capable and intense Hounsou playing a bad ass superhero. The only doubts we can bring to the table for this one is that we had heard the previous plan was for the Black Panther to get his own movie, with John Singleton last year approached to direct. Between 1992 and 2003, Wesley Snipes had long lobbied himself for the part of the Panther but Columbia could never find a script for the character they were happy with. Marvel are now fully financing all their characters... but have they too given up the ghost on translating Panther into his own feature? Have they shipped him off to the FF, Silver Surfer style? Or is Hounsou talking about another trilogy? Any suggestions?
