Eli Roth gets inspired by TRANSFORMERS & CLOVERFIELD

"I went total chaos and pandemonium" says Roth on his new mysterious PG-13 project.

In a big change of career direction, the often quick to speak about movies he would like to be doing than those he probably will get round to making (i.e. like Tarantino) film-maker Eli Roth has told Yahoo Movies that we can expect a big announcement to be made on his future next month.

Apparently it's about a family friendly sci-fi movie the Hostel director has been writing. Yeah really, no joke...
"This will be my first big-budget, PG-13, mass-destruction movie," he said backstage at the music industry's NME Awards in Los Angeles. "I went total chaos and pandemonium." "I feel like I pushed the violence in R movies about as far as I can push it. I feel like I'm bled out. I wanna switch it up,"
Roth will soon shop the project around the big studio's, so he really ain't messing around with this one. Presumably this is what he has been busy working on whilst his movie full of faux horror trailers appropriately titled Trailer Trash has been unceremoniously delayed. To sum up Roth in a few words... LOVE his enthusiasm, I enjoy his original voice. I loved so much about Cabin Fever (you can tell it was made by a horror fanatic) but I hate his Hostel movies with a vengeance. Interested to see what he has cooked up here though. source - /film
