Ellis adaptation The Informers is a go!

n16782.jpgBret Easton Ellis' book of short stories The Infomers, is set to be adapated into a motion picture by director Nicholas Jarecki. Ellis is on board to help adapt the book for screen aswell as acting as an executive producer for the project which starts shooting early next year. More info on the book from Coming Soon... "Published in 1995, the collection of loosely connected short stories captures a week in L.A. in 1983, featuring movie executives, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters in adventures laced with sex, drugs and violence". Ellis' American Psycho ranks as one of my top five favourite books of all time and was made into a hell of a movie with the awesome Christian Bale. The Rules of Attraction movie I was less keen on but I enjoyed the book. The Informers sounds typical disturbed Ellis material. Vampires, rock stars and movie executives????? Should be interesting to say the least. source - variety, coming soon
