Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald has finally hit cinemas, and if we're being a bit kind, we'd say that the response from fans and critics alike has been a bit, uh, mixed.
Whatever your verdict on the film, one thing everyone can agree on is that this movie is weird. Like, really weird. Like, way more bizarre than anyone expected or actually needed it to be.
It's jam-packed with head-scratching creative decisions, tone-deaf subplots that don't work at all, and occasionally even entertainingly odd moments that actually hit their intended mark. It goes out of its way to raise eyebrows and have viewers questioning what the hell they just saw.
It's a film that, for better and definitely for worse, leaves the audience with plenty to talk about, even if much of it'll simply be disbelief that J.K. Rowling slapped together a screenplay so absurdly slapdash.
The biggest WTF moment of all, though, is surely the fact that there's at least three more of these movies still to come. Brace yourselves...
