Final Wonder Woman Trailer Says We Don't Deserve Her
Beware of mankind, Diana...
After a needless debate about Warner Bros apparently burying Wonder Woman compared to their other movies - at least in terms of what they're spending and how visible the film's campaign is - the final trailer for the movie has now debuted.
Coming out of the MTV Movie Awards, the blistering teaser is another good one that showcases the action and Diana Prince's inner conflict predominantly without really spoiling too much. We're still yet to really see David Thewliss' Ares - aside from a little tease - there's not a huge amount of detail on the human villains and the supporting character remain mysterious. This is no bad thing, even if preserving the magic is now being reappropriated to suit politicised agendas.
The preservation of Ares' look is an excellent decision too, given how tempting it must have been to include him for a cheap publicity bump.
There's not a great deal of new footage in there - as you'd expect from a final trailer - but the framing is better, and so too is the story-telling and this is easily the best one we've yet seen...
